DIWAS Photography | Seattle Lifestyle Photographer
Experience the people, land, culture of this magical place with Nepali native and Seattle-based photographers for a 9 day photography tour.
June 23-July 2, 2019 | Kathmandu, Nepal
Every time we travel back hOMe to Nepal, we have friends, family, neighbors telling us that they would LOVE to join us. And, we’ve invited and supported our friends in their journey.. .. .. meeting up with them, sharing and showing them the way, introducing them to the BEST hole in the wall joints for dumplings or cake, reminding them to NOT drink the tea from the street carts that are made from tap water… and you know, letting them experience Nepal from an insiders perspective.
It’s the best.
This year, we’re going back. We’re inviting the greater community to join us. We’re limiting the number of folks to join us so that we can foster relationships that can thrive within our travel group AND within the Nepali communities we will visit. It’s going to be a rich experience, and we can hardly wait.
We’re going to see the sights, yes… the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in and around Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Swayambunath, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We’ll introduce you to a young community of artists to join us for a day of photography and portraiture. We’ll coach you in developing your travel photography skills : lighting, framing, camera functions and more.
You’ll be gifted Lifestyle Portrait Session with DIWAS Photography.
In Nepal.
How cool is that?!
We’re going to watch the sunrise behind Mount Everest from a comfy, cozy, sleepy village Nargakot. We’ll teach you how to create a gorgeous Ayurvedic Nepali meal so you can wow your friends back home with your culinary know-how. We’ll visit Pokhara, the gateway to the Himalayas and basking in the quiet landscape: lake and mountain views and incorporate some day hikes as well. This is one of our favorite spaces to escape to in Nepal.
We’ll visit an organic and sustainable practiced tea and coffee farm. That space will provide you with the opportunity to photograph one of the emerging export industries and give you the opportunity to use your photography skills to support local farmers to take their agricultural and trade to the next level.
We’ll travel by car, by bus, by rickshaw to all the places and spaces that we go. We’ll give you some free time during the 9 day tour so you can get that Ayurvedic massage, or practice yoga, visit a museum, hang with the locals at the chia pasal, or do some gift shopping. We’ll also encourage a night out where we can listen to some Nepali music, have some snacks and grab some drinks.
It’s going to be great, join us?!
